Three old college friends will, after a number of years, be working together to put on an exhibition of their current work.

Maggie is a ceramist based in Faversham.
After studying Graphic Design at Canterbury College of Art she later returned to study Ceramics at Medway School of Art & Design. For many years she was head of Ceramics at Canterbury Christ Church University.
“Over a long career I have explored many aspects of ceramics and the significance of the vessel to contain ideas and memory as well as the familiar potential of usefulness. In the past 20 years my vessels have flattened and become more like 3-D drawings, usually slab-built or carved. These are mostly conceived as groups of forms and more latterly as still-life tableaux and shelves.
I also enjoy the physicality of throwing and coiling and so alongside the still-life studies are a number of more coastal inspired ‘sea-bowls’ in watery turquoise and blues."
She has exhibited extensively in this country, also in Europe, the US and Japan.

Don paints large format watercolours of single shells found on the beaches of North Norfolk. Following his degree from Canterbury College of Art, he established freelance design business Seed Art in London, working as an art director, cartoonist, visualiser and storyboard artist for advertising and film.
“A career spent drawing for a living and a rediscovered interest in geology and fossils got me interested in painting shells. Using watercolour it is hugely satisfying to explore these perfect natural structures, their spirals and grooves.” He moved to North Norfolk in 2013 and has exhibited widely in the region.

Gillian is a landscape painter living in a house built over a stream on the Norfolk/Suffolk border close to the local fens and with only a short journey to the North Norfolk coast.
These are important places for her work providing endless inspiration with a perfect mix of sky, water and a little land. Now and then she’s happy painting flowers in a vase of water or a scene with a window but her favourite scenes remain those where the land is merely a reflection of the sky.
Gillian works mainly in oil and cold wax but she also enjoys many forms of printing.
Originally training in typography and graphic design and working in publishing in London. She then studied painting and printing when she and her young family moved to Minnesota.
Gillian’s work has been exhibited in England and America and she is a founder member of Tideliners in Norfolk and Artworks in Suffolk.
Gillian, Don and Maggie met at Canterbury College of Art, (now the University College for the Creative Arts), in the 1970’s. This exhibition not only celebrates their rich and successful lives as artists, but brings them together, reuniting to mark 50 years since graduating in 1975.
